Showdown Card Game

Showdown is the bidding game where bluffing is perfectly OK, as long as you don't get
caught!

Bid how may of a given number appear on the cards held by all players together. For instance, "Four 5s". Next player must make a higher bid (for instance, "Four 6s" or "Five 3s") or Challenge yours. Once bidding ends, the cards are shown. Stars count as the number bid. If the Bid was too high, the Bidder loses a card. Otherwise, the challenger loses. Try to guess other player's hands their bids, but remember, bluffing can be quite effective (unless you get challenged!).

Discard and draw cards to improve your hand. If your bid is challenged, you can change it (with a small penalty) but if you're confident you can Double the stakes. Of course, then the challenger could Triple it!

Think the last bid was exactly right? Call Showdown! If you're right, you gain a card, everyone else loses one.
